Clube de Rugby de Juromenha

Clube de Rugby de Juromenha was founded in 1997. The veterans team began activity in February 2001, in an International Tournament in Loulé, Algarve, where they played with Rugby Roma and R.C.Loulé. After that, we have participated in several tournaments in Portugal, Spain and Brasil, country who had visit for two times.

The X E.G.O.R.F will be the second that we’ll attend, after our participation last June, in Madeira.

Juromenha is a very small and historical village, near Guadiana River and Spanish border, localized in a region called Alentejo, which capital is Évora. The population is around 100 people, and our players come from different places of Portugal and Spain. Our club have a great relationship with Club de Rugby Universitario de Badajoz, team with we both created an Association called " Associação Interfronteiriça Rugby Guadiana", with the purpose to compete in Portuguese league and also play veterans tournaments.

During the year of 2009 we are preparing a tour to Argentina, in October, November and we’ll attend to "6ème Tournoi Rugby des Chants",in Bordères sur l´ Echez, France, besides some tournaments all over Portugal and Spain.

We also organize, every year, our Festival, called "Juromenha Rugby Oldies Festival". The next one will be held in 9th. May 2009.
